Professor Anne Osbourn elected as a member of EMBO

PBL congratulates Professor Anne Osbourn (OBE, FRS, Foreign Member of the NAS) on being elected as a member of the prestigious European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO). PBL has worked with Professor Osbourn and her group at the John Innes Centre over many years on the successful development of a powerful synthetic biology platform to identify genes for natural product biosynthesis in plants and harness these for rapid gram-scale production, using triterpenes as an exemplar.
