Hudson River Biotechnology and PBL Collaboration

We are pleased to announce a collaboration between Hudson River Biotechnology and PBL Technology focused on accelerating deployment of CRISPR-enabled traits in tomato and strawberry breeding programs.

A major bottleneck in commercial CRISPR breeding is often not identifying interesting traits, but efficiently deploying them into elite breeding germplasm and active breeding pipelines.

Through this collaboration, validated trait concepts and technologies from PBL’s portfolio will be combined with HRB’s BioMaas™ deployment platform for transgene-free CRISPR breeding and single-cell regeneration.

Together, we aim to help breeders access and implement new traits more rapidly and practically within commercial breeding programs.

We look forward to working together to accelerate innovation in tomato and strawberry breeding.
