HotHouse Therapeutics—a pioneering drug-discovery platform formed by Plant Bioscience Limited (PBL) and the John Innes Centre (JIC), founded on a body of work from the laboratory of Professor Anne Osbourn’s (OBE FRS NAS) at JIC, has successfully closed a £2.9 million pre-seed funding round. The company aims to transform modern medicine by developing sustainable, scalable pharmaceutical compounds using AI-optimised, plant-based chemistry.
