Dr Catherine Beech OBE joins PBL Board

PBL is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Catherine Beech OBE to the Board of Directors.  She is presently CEO of Exonate.  With a clinical training, she has been instrumental in the success of many different life science companies.  After a career in the pharmaceutical industry, Catherine co-founded and managed the technology venture fund, Cambridge Gateway Fund.  As a member of the Technology Strategy Board, she was integral in supporting the UK government to define the national strategy for Life Sciences. 

PBL’s Managing Director, Jan Chojecki, said “Catherine brings a wealth of experience of early-stage innovation and we are very pleased and excited that she has agreed to join the team.”  Dr Beech said “I have known of PBL and its approach to the development and commercialisation of innovative technologies for over 20 years and am absolutely delighted to join the Board.  PBL has added considerable value to many research organisations to help protect and commercialise new technologies and I hope to bring my experience to further these goals.”
