“HighPhy”: High Phytase Wheat

Non-GM wheat with seed phytase levels 5-8x the levels commonly seen in wheat. Benefits for animal feed, human nutrition and the environment. Avoid costs of synthetic phytase feed additives. Significantly reduced phytate in grain-based human diets. Germplasm and methods for easily breeding and selecting this valuable trait. This technology has not been published in the scientific literature and comes from Dr Henrik Brinch-Pedersen and colleagues at Aarhus University, Denmark.
