Intellectual Property (IP) Management and Advisory Service for Life Science Companies and Investors

PBL is offering patent consultation and management services including:

These services are designed for early stage or established life science companies who do not wish to commit internal resources to in-house patent expertise, but who recognize the benefit of a closer relationship with Intellectual Property professionals than is possible through relying solely on "Outside Patent Counsel". We will work closely with your company so as to be able to advise on all aspects of the corporate R&D strategy and pipeline to identify new IP opportunities, to liaise with outside patent counsel, and to oversee patent prosecution through issuance, maintenance and subsequent licensing and / or product development phases.

Our IP services are also offered to investors wishing to obtain an independent and objective opinion on IP portfolios and related IP questions in the course of their investment due diligence process.

PBL offers:

	Up to one hour of no charge initial consultation with PBL's in-house patent specialist to confirm that our service is appropriate for your organisation.

	Ongoing attendance at your R&D strategy and update meetings so that a particular focus on the IP development aspects of your organisation can be monitored.

	Phone and email based IP help and advice with fast response time.
	Drafting of initial patent applications through consultation with the principal scientists / investigators / inventors for sharing, at the appropriate stage, with outside patent counsel for finalisation and filing.

	Oversight, on an ongoing basis, of the Corporate Intellectual Property portfolio, including provision of an efficient conduit for channelling communications between company technical personnel and outside patent counsel; reportage to Corporate Executives on an agreed-to schedule and upon milestone developments as they occur during your Company's development.

	Provision of periodic "awareness" training workshops for appropriate staff so that the fundamentals of intellectual property rights become well known in your organization.

	Provision of services at a rate structured to be significantly more competitive than available rates demanded by outside IP professionals.
